How It All Started
My journey with food began as a little girl in my grandmother’s kitchen. I remember the warm scent of cinnamon on Saturday mornings, the laughter that filled the air, and the feeling of pride when my first batch of biscuits turned out just right. Those moments planted a seed that would grow into a lifelong passion.
As I got older, my love for cooking only deepened. I spent weekends experimenting with new recipes, jotting down ideas in my notebook, and hosting potluck dinners for friends and family. What I love most about recipes is their power to bring people together—over breakfast, dinner, or even a simple plate of appetizers.
Starting Life With Ruby was my way of capturing those memories, sharing what I’ve learned, and hopefully inspiring others to gather around the table, too. It’s not just about the food—it’s about the people, the stories, and the little moments that make life sweet.
